It is a sad fact that many, if not most, men don't know how to shave properly. Shaving is something that we pick up through watching our fathers a couple of times.We then practice behind a locked bathroom door, usually emerging looking as if we have been savaged by next doors cat! Being men we don't ask for, or give, advice on shaving technique, but carry on regardless, often making a bad situation worse.

I speak to many stubbly looking men who only shave once a week (or when they are told to by long suffering wives/girlfriends) because shaving is a painful ordeal for them, due to old shaving scars, shaving rash/burn or ingrowing hairs.

Help is now at hand in the form of our Shaving Tutorials.

During the course of any of our normal shaves we are happy to give advice and will supply a general shaving information leaflet. However, in a tutorial we will take this to a much more personal level.

You will be asked to bring in your usual razor and shaving cream. We will analyse your skin type to establish the most suitable products. Then we take digital photos of your face and neck, so that we can mark on them the direction of hair growth, scars and other sensitive areas.

After a deep cleansing facial we will perform a traditional shave, using a variety of razors so that you get an overview of what's available.

You will get a report telling you all that has been learned on the tutorial and copies of the photos, plus recommendations on the best products for you.

The tutorial usually lasts two hours and costs £100 including the full report.
